| SHARPS & HANKINS MODEL 1859 CIVIL WAR CARBINE. 52 caliber rimfire breechloader has a 24" barrel with a rusty bore. Fully intact leather barrel wrap. Left side of frame is stamped Sharps Patent 1859 in three lines, next to that is a large P and two G’s. Right side is marked Sharps & Hankins, Philad. Receiver is an even brown color, buttplate is brass with nice patina. Wood is in good condition with the usual nicks and dents and the number 2 stamped behind lower tang.
