LOT OF 5 PIECES ATTRIBUTED TO THE 141ST NEW YORK.
Belgian copy of a British pattern 1853 Enfield .58 caliber with 39.25" barrel. Lock is marked J.J. Gerard Liege in two lines. Thereís a crown over F and a star over G. Barrel has liege proofs and an adjustable ladder type rear sight. Barrel and lock is bright, 3 bands are brown. Buttplate, trigger guard and nosecap are brass. Stock is very good with a couple of old repairs that are very tight. Comes with bayonet, brass tipped leather scabbard and frog, very nice leather cartridge box with brass oval US medallion, leather percussion cap pouch and leather belt with oval brass buckle with US. This is an outstanding set. Itís everything an infantry soldier would need for battle.
