Lot 280 3 PCS. - CARTRIDGE BOXES.
Lot of three leather revolver cartridge boxes. First is in good condition. "Made by J.I. Pittman" stamped on front of the box under the flap. Second is very good with US stamped on the lower left of the flap, "J. Davy & Co." at the middle bottom & a square cartouche with F.J. Shepard in script. Third is the same as the second but in lesser conditon. 6"W x 4"H.

Lot 281 WW 2 GERMAN LUFTWAFFE OFFICER'S DAGGER.
2nd model dagger with a domed pommel and a vertical oak leaf design, the orange celluloid handle has a spiral ribbed design and silver wire wrapping, aluminum cross-guard has the German Army eagle. The double edged stiletto-style blade is marked "Robt. Klass Solingen". The nickel scabbard has an alligatored texture. Complete with a hanging silver "Portepee" or sword-knot. Light tarnish and pitting to the blade, heavy rust and pitting to the scabbard. 3.5"W x 3.5"H.

Lot 282 1851 NAVY COLT 36 CALIBER REVOLVER W/ HOLSTER.
6 shot 36 caliber with 7.5" barrel and SN #134,9xx. Barrel is marked Address Col. Saml Colt New York U.S. America in one line. All numbers match and most of the cylinder scene is visible
but faint. Most metal surfaces are a mix of gray and brown, the brass has a nice patina. Wood grips are very good with lots of varnish. Holster is missing flap but in good conidion otherwise;
black finish is crackled and coming off in several areas. This is a nice set that certainly saw Civil War service.

Lot 283 TIGER MAPLE TRYON HALF STOCK 42 CALIBER LONG RIFLE.
Has a 39" octagon barrel, double set triggers and plain lock which needs a little work - hammer won’t stay cocked. Striped stock is in good condition, end of ramrod is missing. Barrel is marked Tryon, Philadelphia.

Lot 284 POMEROY MODEL 1816 TYPE III, 69 CAL PERCUSSION RIFLE.
Converted to percussion by L. Pomeroy. 42" barrel is 69 caliber
and finished bright. Lock is marked L. Pomeroy under an American eagle and 1832 over US behind hammer. Wood stock is very good with cartouche at top of stock near butt-plate and small sliver missing from left side of top tang. Barrel is stamped N.J. on flat of left side breech and H & P 1861 on top of the tang.

Lot 285 ENGLISH FLINTLOCK POCKET PISTOL.
48 caliber with 1 5/8" barrel and center mounted hammer with fold down trigger. Frame is nicely engraved and the name Simmons is engraved in an oval on the left side. Bottom of screw-off barrel has two crowns over P proof marks. Bag type walnut grips are very finely checkered. Made by Thomas Simmons of Maidstone, Kent. A high quality, diminutive hide-out gun, only 6" long and 3" high. 6"W x 3"H.

Lot 286 CIVIL WAR SOLDIER'S ARTIFICIAL LEG.
Complete with leather shoe, designed for a soldier who lost his right leg above the knee. Has a leather attachment section with 7 brass hooks and an articulating metal knee section. This was a high quality prosthesis made for someone of means, probably an officer. 6"W x 31"H x 9.5"D.

Lot 287 JOHN C. HAYNES & CO. BRASS REGIMENTAL TUBA - 1861.
This brass tuba is signed by the John C. Haynes & Co.; Also inscribed on the horn of the tuba is "Eastern Bay State Reg. - 30 - MS Vols - 1861" (Massachusetts State Regiment 30 of Volunteers) The horn and the tubing appear in very good condition, as well as the valves; all parts appear intact. 27.5"W x 14"H x 9.5"D.

Includes a WW 2, First class 1939 pin-back Iron Cross; belt buckle with swastika in a wreath noted "Gott Mit Uns" (God With Us); and a an artillery cap eagle patch in black and gold.

Lot 289 BRITISH ENFIELD SNYDER .577 CALIBER CONVERSION RIFLE.
36.5" barrel with very nice bore. Lock is marked with a crown over V.R. behind the hammer and a crown & arrow over 1870 over Enfield. Numerous British proof marks on the barrel and front of breech and Roman Numeral III is stamped in center of the block behind rear sight. Wood is sound but has numerous dents and dings - has faint circular cartouche on right side of the butt. Most of the metal is silver with areas of finish near front sight and breech block. A decent example.
